To all those women who spent the 80's wearing knee-length shorts and being prepared to play tennis at a moment's notice, Tretorn shoes are back in style. They've even made them in a flannel fabric that is available for the fall. Here's the question: If I buy a pair of white Tretorn shoes and start wearing them, at what point will I be qualified to become a middle-aged nanny who only wears men's polo shirts?
Again, I think I need them, but they're around $100 and that seems like a lot for shoes I can only wear to be trendy when I volunteer in nursing homes.
